The Best Hawaiian Vacation Idea

We’re pretty sure that the Oahu Pentathlon is one of the best experiences of the island of Oahu that you can get. We’re biased, of course, so here’s our top 10 reasons why we think that this would be an epic way to plan your ultimate Hawaiian vacation:

  1. You’ll see things that tourists don’t. Oahu is known as the “gathering place” and sometimes that can meet it gets a bit crowded. By experiencing the island our way, you’ll get to see the little secret pockets of the island that most people don’t get.

  2. See the entire island in one day. This 24-hour challenge gives you the opportunity to see it all in a really intimate way. From the turquoise water of Kailua Bay to the shallow reef life near Chinaman’s Hat, past the famous North Shore food trucks and the quiet corner of Kaena Point, you get to see it all in a way that can even be hard to do with a vehicle!

  3. It’s the right time of year. August is a great time to travel to Hawaii - the thick summer crowd is dying down, the summer scorch has eased off and you’re landing well before the rainy season. As much as you’ll be interacting with nature in this event, these are ideal conditions!

  4. Meet new people. And awesome ones, too! Our community attracts people who probably share a lot in common with you. Hawaii is known for its kindness and a way of life that prioritizes relationships.

  5. Stay healthy while you travel. Vacation can someday turn into a discouraging setback along a health and fitness journey, but not so when you’re traveling for the Oahu Pentathlon! Eat, drink, be merry and stay fit, too.

  6. Aloha is important. “Aloha” is a state of being in Hawaii that describes love and fellowship. We think that we could all use a little more of this in life!

  7. You’ll be doing good and serving others. The Oahu Pentathlon is a fundraiser for nonprofit service projects, so by participating in this event you are actually helping others! Who knew that service could be so fun?

  8. It’s hard, but it’s fun. The Oahu Pentathlon might very well be one of the most challenging physical tasks you’ve set your mind to so far and we’ll help make it fun while you’re at it! We want to see you overcome your perception of what’s possible!

  9. Get in touch with nature. Hawaii is truly a unique place in its geography and environment. As the most remote place on the planet, we are host to incredibly clean ocean, beautiful sea life, rich jungle foliage and incredible waterfall features. You really can’t get enough of it!

  10. Build your teamwork. Whether you sign up as a team or solo, you’ll need to rely on the support of others to endure this event and we believe that that’s an important principle!

If you haven’t signed up for the Oahu Pentathlon, what are you waiting for? Run, don’t walk! Literally. It’s time to start training.
