our story.

The Oahu Pentathlon started with the single endeavor of Sarah Loogman to circumnavigate the island of Oahu by multiple modalities as a way to bring attention to a spectrum of nonprofit organizations. What she expected to be a solo effort extended to a team of 28 people who would come together to support and join by segments, who gathered together in a backyard barbecue the next day - this became the grassroots weekend of the Oahu Pentathlon.

Sarah finished the first-ever solo effort in 23 hours and 43 minutes.

“The night before [the first Oahu Pentathlon] I had a very clear vision of many, many people standing on the perimeters of Oahu holding hands, praying for the island and the world at large. The atmosphere of the space between them shifted and that’s what this is about - bringing that vision to life.”
