Take the journey of a thousand steps with us up the Koko Head Stairs in honor and remembrance of Pearl Harbor Day. And bring a ruck pack or sandbag, if you dare!
This 1.6 mile out-and-back is considered a moderate to challenging route and is iconically one of Oahu’s more popular hikes… and for good reason. You’ll win some sweeping views of the south side of the island from the top, once you’ve earned your way through more than 1,000 railroad track steps.
Look for an Oahu Pentathlon teardrop flag near the east end of the large parking lot on Anapalau Street. Make sure to give yourself enough time to park and find the crew! We’ll be packing out at 830am, sharp.
This event will be lead by Sarah Mayo, the founder of the Oahu Pentathlon and “original” Pentathlon-er. You can contact her on the day of the event at (530) 598-1886.
